When I first sat down to write Beyond the Vacation, I created a storyline to fit with a traditional backpacker guidebook. When I finished writing the book over 6 months later, it had morphed into something completely different.

When this book finally hits the shelves, it will be clear exactly how far from a travel guide this book actually is. It ended up taking on a life of its own, and I could not be happier.

The book is now a real life account about finding the true essence of the travel experience. It approaches the subject of travel with the eye of the heart and the spirit of the soul, almost completely skimming passed the unequivocally redundant information that is typical of the widely available guidebooks currently available in the market.

Writing Beyond the Vacation challenged my emotions in ways that I cannot possibly explain in the text on this page. In the same way, I truly believe that it will forever alter that way you experience your travel adventures as well.

So why offer bonus chapters?

Simple, the book morphed so far from its original intention, that I was left with erroneous amounts of extra chapters that no longer fit with the ever-evolving premise of the book.

I am convinced that they still offer backpackers useful information, and that is why I offer them to you here and now.

Each is roughly 3000-4000 words long and will take a bit more time to read then the average internet article. I suggest taking some time to relax and read each with a thoughtful mind frame. Turn on some background music, pour a coffee, pop the lid on a beer, sit back, relax, and enjoy.
