The #4 Highest bungee jump in the world is...
Bloukrans Bridge, South Africa – 708 feet (216 m)
The Bloukrans Bridge is the world’s highest single span arch bridge. Primarily used as a road bridge, but for those who dare, it can also be used as an adrenaline structure! When it opened in 1997 it was highest commercially operated bungee on earth. But now as you will see, it has been greatly surpassed.
Jumpers are led across a custom designed catwalk that hangs underneath the N2 national route road surface, taking you to the top of the arch. There is no time to think, the jump guides give you a final countdown, and it's out into the great blue yonder. Surrounded by amazing scenery, it is any wonder people travel from all over the world to experience this jump.
This bungee utlizes a pendulum system, which apparently gives jumpers “the smoothest, most comfortable bungy jump possible”
This is the bridge that the bungee jumpers leap from.
Crazy!
It takes shear guts and adrenaline to be able to jump something like this!
